Lucky Twice
Lucky Twice is a Swedish pop group from Sweden, active from 2006 to 2010. The group is associated with bubblegum dance, EDM, euro house, eurodance and europop as well as pop.
Line-up
The group goes through an early line-up change. It begins with Hannah Reynold and Sofie Larsson, then Sofie Larsson leaves in 2007 to join the Twisters, a band she forms with her brother. Emelie Schytz replaces her soon after. The verified membership also includes Superduper Sofie, Hannah Reynold and Emelie Schytz.
Recordings and releases
Lucky Twice signs to Family Tree Music in Sweden and is managed by Victoria Ekeberg, who also has success with September, Gathania and Nexx. Their first single, “Lucky”, is released in Spain through Vale Music and reaches number one on the singles chart there, where it is certified double platinum. The track also charts in Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Austria and Sweden, and becomes a cult favourite in UK bars and nightclubs after video rotation, press interest and a performance at G-A-Y in London, even though the planned UK CD single release is cancelled after record label complications.
Their album Young & Clever is released in 2007, followed by the single “Hop Non Stop”. The song “Lucky” is also noted as a major hit in Vietnam.
End of the group
Lucky Twice breaks up in early 2010.
