Lucky Chops

Lucky Chops is a New York brass band active since 2006. The group works across brass band, funk, instrumental and jazz, and is made up of Leo Pellegrino, Daro Behroozi, Reggie Chapman, Joshua Gawel and Josh Holcomb.

Line-up and sound

The band’s instrumental setup centres on brass and rhythm, with members associated with bari sax, tenor saxophone, trombone, trumpet and sousaphone. Its music is built around a high-energy live approach and a focus on positive, uplifting performance.

Live reputation

Lucky Chops develops a following through festival appearances and regular shows in New York City, where it draws consistent sell-out crowds. The group also heads line-ups at international festivals.
