Lowpines are a London group centred on Oli Deakin. Their songs draw on lo-fi americana and are shaped by ideas first formed in rural northern England before the project moves to west London.
Their sound takes influence from the spare, sketchbook approach associated with Smog, Sparklehorse and Bonnie Prince Billy. The result is described through contrasts: quiet but determined, dusty and faded in tone, yet still intent on being heard.
