Low Duo are a two-brother group from Sheffield who make dark, emotive minimalist guitar music using one voice and one instrument. They form in August 2010.

They receive recognition as The Guardian’s “new band of the day” and PRS’s new band of the week, and appear as a new artist of the day on the Myspace front page. They also record a live session for Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music, which is available as a free download through their monthly newsletter.

Low Duo receive airplay from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music and from John Kennedy and Eddy Temple-Morris on XFM. Their music is reviewed positively by The Fly, Drowned in Sound and other UK and international blogs, and they are described locally as creating “the most beautiful body of music to come out of Sheffield in this generation.”
