LostAlone

LostAlone are a rock group from Derby, formed in 2005 and active until 2014, with later activity beginning again in 2022. The band’s line-up includes Steven Battelle on vocals and guitar, Mark Gibson on drums and vocals, and Alan Williamson on bass and vocals. Tom Kitchen is listed as a former member.

Releases

The band’s debut album, Say No to the World, appears in 2007. Their second studio album, I’m a UFO in this City, is recorded in Los Angeles with producers Jacknife Lee and Gregg Wells, and Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance serves as executive producer. It is released on Graphite Records, and five tracks from the album are issued as singles. In 2014, LostAlone release their third studio album, Shapes of Screams, following a pledge campaign that passes its target. Their fourth studio album, The Warring Twenties, is released in 2022.

Touring and live work

LostAlone tour extensively across the UK and Europe, both as a headline act and in support of larger bands. Their support slots include tours with 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Enter Shikari, Angels and Airwaves, Taking Back Sunday, My Passion, Evanescence and Tonight Alive. They also play a five-date headline tour of Finland in 2008, and later join McFly on the Power to Play UK tour in 2023.

The band appears at a range of festivals, including Download, Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Reading, Leeds, T in the Park, Oxegen, Taste of Chaos, Give It a Name, the Carling Weekend, Sonisphere and 2000 Trees. In 2014, they play an album launch show at the Barfly in London as part of a headline tour.

Recognition

LostAlone receive airplay and support from MTV, XFM, Kerrang! TV and radio, Radio 1 and VH1, and they gain positive coverage in UK and European music press. They are nominated for Best British Newcomer at Kerrang!’s annual awards.

Later activity

After announcing a break from touring in 2008, the band stops in 2014 and completes final UK and European shows later that year. They return in 2022 with a comeback announcement, supporting My Chemical Romance at some arena dates and resuming headline shows. In 2025, they preview an unreleased song and announce a headline show in London with Fearless Vampire Killers and Bex.
