Los Lonely Boys
Los Lonely Boys are an American Chicano rock power trio from San Angelo, Texas. The group is active from 2001 and consists of three brothers: Henry Garza, JoJo Garza and Ringo Garza, Jr.
Style and formation
The band begins as a group of brothers performing together in the 1990s and later establishes itself in Nashville before returning to Texas. It describes its music as “Texican Rock n’ Roll”, a blend of rock and roll, Texas blues, brown-eyed soul, country and Tejano. Its sound is also identified with rock and Tex-Mex, and the members play guitar, bass and drums while contributing vocals.
Recordings and recognition
Los Lonely Boys record their debut album in 2003 after moving back to Texas. In 2005, their song “Heaven” wins a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. That same year, the group records “I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love” with Carlos Santana for Santana’s album All That I Am. Their album Rockpango is released in 2011.
