Littlemores

Littlemores are a three-piece band from York. Their music draws on indie, ska, reggae and rock, with influences including Billy Bragg, The Libertines, Bob Marley and The Maccabees. They are described as storytellers, with songs built around contemporary characters and situations.

Music and themes

Their material includes the songs and figures “Idle Idols”, “Larry”, “Femme Fagin”, “Charlie Blow” and “That Girl”. The band’s sound combines indie jangle, reggae and ska, and their songs are presented as both rhythmic and narrative, with the aim of making listeners dance and think at the same time.

In September 2009, Littlemores appear as the house band on BBC Switch with Annie and Nick.
