Little Switzerland

Little Switzerland begins in August 2011 and is a four-piece band made up of like-minded musicians playing original material. Their music draws on a range of styles, including indie, pop, reggae and rock, and they are tagged as alternative, rock, alternative rock and math rock.

Early appearances and live work

The band makes its debut at the Hull Freedom Festival. After that first gig, it appears on BBC Introducing Live Sets and supports Mystery Jets, The Beat, Alt-J, Dog is Dead and The Kabeedies. It also maintains an active presence on the local music scene through regular writing and gigging.

Releases and recognition

Little Switzerland receives local press coverage for its double single How We Met/Chit Chat. It also gains attention after winning the North Lincolnshire Rock Open BOTB. The band continues to develop its sound by trying new ideas and spending time in the studio.
