Little Comets

Little Comets are an English indie rock group from Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom. Formed in 2008, they are also described as a “kitchen sink indie” act. The group’s line-up includes Robert Coles.

Career

The band builds its profile through performances in unusual settings, including lecture theatres and public transport, and gains support from DJ Huw Stephens. In early 2009 they sign to Columbia Records. After leaving the major label, they release their debut album, In Search of Elusive Little Comets, in 2011. Their second album, Life is Elsewhere, follows in 2012 on Dirty Hit. Their fourth album, Worhead, appears in 2017 on the band’s own label.

Their music is placed within indie rock, indie pop, art rock and pop rock, and their sound is compared with Vampire Weekend.
