Leggo Beast is the recording name used by Murray Clarke, a music producer and DJ. He begins his career as a member of Opik, who sign to Deconstruction between 1992 and 1995, and later works as one half of Bullitnuts, a duo signed to Pork Recordings from 1995 to 1999.

Releases

As Leggo Beast, Clarke produces two albums for Pork Recordings: From Here to G and Sines and Cymbals. He also releases two albums on the Big Chill label, Thunk and Tales From The Crib.

Production and remixes

His production work includes remixes for Tosca, Natasha Atlas, Blue States, Jimpster and other artists. He also works on UK film soundtracks including Dirty Sanchez, Sparkle and Faintheart, and on advertising projects.

DJ work

Leggo Beast appears on the Mixmasters series on Addictive TV and DJs internationally in venues in Belgium, Moscow, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Los Angeles, Athens, New York, the Czech Republic and Stockholm. In the UK, he plays at events including Glastonbury, Phoenix Festival, Fabric in London and the Big Chill festival.

Residencies

He holds previous residencies at The Welly in Hull, the Medicine Bar in London, Big Chill House in London and The Elbow Rooms in London, the latter with Pork Recordings. He also DJs on occasional weekends at London venues including Big Chill House and the Big Chill Bar.
