Lecarla

Lecarla is a UK rock band formed in early 2009 and active since then. It is a five-piece line-up from Milton Keynes, with Lizzy Dent on lead vocals, Stevie Shepperson on rhythm guitar, Joe Alfano on lead guitar, Nikki Brightman on bass and Steve North on drums.

History and activity

After forming, the band tours extensively and shares stages with acts including The Blackout, We Are The Ocean, Francesqa, Attack! Attack!, All Forgotten, Deaf Havana, Young Guns, The King Blues, My Passion and The Towers Of London. It is named Best International Breakout band in 2010 and later headlines a 10,000-capacity festival in the Maldives. The band is also featured as a Kerrang Local Heroes act.

Releases and reception

Lecarla’s debut single, “D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F”, is released in May 2010. It gathers over 61,000 views on YouTube and appears in the top 40 most requested songs of 2010 on Scuzz TV. The band also plans a follow-up single, “Bruises”, and is described by Bruce Dickinson as a cross between Paramore and Bullet For My Valentine, while Alex Baker of Kerrang! Radio says he has not come across a band like them in the UK or the world.
