Laura Izibor is a singer-songwriter and pianist from Dublin, Ireland. Her music is rooted in soul and R&B, and she becomes known for a soulful vocal style alongside piano playing.

Early recognition

While still in secondary school, Izibor wins the Jacobs/2FM song contest. She later receives a Hope for 2006 Award at the 2006 Meteor Music Ireland Awards.

Performances and releases

She performs at Electric Picnic in 2006 and at Music Ireland in 2007. Her single Shine is used as the lead track for the film The Nanny Diaries and also appears in television advertising in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Touring and debut album

Izibor opens for Aretha Franklin, Estelle and John Legend on tour. Her debut album, Let The Truth Be Told, is associated with her early recording career.
