LAIKA DOG

Laika Dog is a British rock group formed by Tony Wright of Terrorvision with Paddy Morrall, Sim Morrall and Parry after the members met while working on dry stone walls on a Yorkshire moor. The original line-up grows out of that setting and includes Tony, who also works as a waller; Paddy, a joiner; Sim, an electrician; and Parry, a labourer. Keyboard player Jay later joins the band after beginning his music career driving the van.

Style and name

The band plays rock and roll with an honest, straightforward approach. Its name refers both to the Soviet space dog Laika and to the phrase “like a dog”.

Releases

Laika Dog releases two independent albums on its own label, 10410. A third album, 2010, follows later.
