Lacey

Lacey is a name used by more than one act. One is an alternative rock band from Nottingham, England, with a debut album titled Under The Brightest Lights.

The other Lacey is a hip hop artist from the east coast of the UK, associated with Norwich and Great Yarmouth. He starts recording music at the age of 14 and is influenced by US hip hop and the UK urban scene. His first demo is sent to Kiss FM, where it receives positive feedback, and this helps encourage him to keep recording.

Broadcasts, live work and releases

Lacey appears on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio Norfolk and other independent radio stations. He is selected by BBC 1Xtra DJ Target for Team Rappers in the first #targetsnoticeboard Rappers V Singers showdown at Maida Vale. He tours widely in the UK, performing at clubs, festivals and stadiums including Oxford’s Kassam Stadium and Peterborough’s Willow Fest.

He has a single called You Never Know and works with producers Alex Beitzke and Austen Jux Chandler at Dean Street Studios. He is signed for major distribution by Believe Digital. The producers also work with major artists including Rihanna.
