Kunt and the Gang

Kunt and the Gang is a UK comedy group from Basildon, Essex, fronted by a lead singer and keyboardist called Kunt and featuring a puppet sidekick, Little Kunt. The act performs in a crude, light-hearted style and presents songs about modern subjects through deliberately provocative titles and themes.

Style and presentation

The group’s music uses cheap-sounding keyboard sounds and simple drum machine backing. It is sometimes compared, in musical terms, with fellow UK comedy act John Shuttleworth. The songs often use explicit, jokey titles, including one called Wanking Over A Pornographic Polaroid Of An Ex-Girlfriend Who Died.

Releases and activity

The group performs from 2003 and releases its debut LP, I Have a Little Wank and I Have a Little Cry, in 2004. That album is the first part of a “wanking and crying” trilogy. A greatest hits release and DVD titled Complete Kunt follows in 2010.
