King Witch
King Witch is a doom metal group from Edinburgh, Scotland, active since 2015. The band forms around the vocals of Laura Donnelly, who previously performs in Firebrand Super Rock, with Jamie Gilchrist on guitars, Simon Anger on bass and Tam Dickson on drums. Gilchrist also plays in Firebrand Super Rock.
The group begins in early 2015 in Edinburgh and draws on heavy metal, stoner metal and classic 1970s rock. Its sound is described through comparisons with Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Mastodon and High On Fire, alongside doom-laden riffs, progressive touches and powerful vocals. The first song, Lucid, brings the band early attention.
