Killing for Company
Killing for Company is a death metal group from Trondheim. The band forms around Stuart Cable, who previously plays with the Stereophonics and later works in television and radio before forming a new band.
Background and activity
The group develops after Cable leaves the Stereophonics and looks for new bandmates. It takes shape as a rock-oriented project with death metal tagging, and it works with American producer Bob Marlette, whose credits include Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Black Sabbath and Black Stone Cherry.
Killing for Company also attracts attention through live work, performing alongside acts including The Who, Fightstar, The Automatic, The Alarm, Tesla and The Charlatans. The band plays venues such as Liberty Stadium, the CIA, Barfly, Islington Academy and Rock City.
Recordings and label
The band signs to Demolition Records and joins the DR2 World Wide label. Its album recordings are completed, and Lost Art of Deception is set for release. The group also issues a Stuart Cable memorial single, with proceeds going to charity.
Film work
Killing for Company appears in McKenzie Crook’s film Abraham’s Point, where it performs and provides the musical score.
