Kid Kapichi
Kid Kapichi is a punk rock band from Hastings, formed in 2013. The group’s lineup includes Jack Wilson, Eddie Lewis and Ben Beetham, with Wilson on vocals and guitar and Lewis on bass. Earlier in the band’s history, Wilson and Beetham start the project with their school friends Lewis and George McDonalds on drums.
Style and influences
The band plays punk rock and rock, with influences that include Queens of the Stone Age, The Libertines, Nirvana and Arctic Monkeys.
Career
After forming, Kid Kapichi release several singles and EPs before touring Europe in 2019. That year, they play the Reading and Leeds Festivals and then support Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. In 2021, they self-release their debut album. They sign to Spinefarm Records in June 2022 and release their second studio album, Here's What You Could Have Won, later that year. The album includes “New England”, a song featuring Bob Vylan. By 2024, the band is touring larger European festivals.
