Kent DuChaine is an American acoustic blues and blues singer and guitarist from Wayzata, Minnesota. Born in 1951, he begins playing guitar as a teenager and forms his first band with friends in his hometown after getting an electric guitar at the age of 13.

Career

From 1972 to 1975, DuChaine performs in a band with Kim Wilson. The group backs blues musicians including Fenton Robinson, Boogie Woogie Red, Luther Tucker, Hubert Sumlin and Eddie "Guitar" Burns. Its reputation grows enough for Willie Dixon to arrange a recording contract and a concert bill that also includes Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker and Howlin' Wolf.

DuChaine begins working solo in 1982 and continues to play a wide range of venues while focusing on Delta blues.
