Kadawatha

Kadawatha is a Swedish alternative rock group formed in 2008. The project begins as a solo venture for Daniel Kadawatha, whose music, ideas and stories remain at its centre. He is Sri Lankan, and the band develops around his writing and direction.

In spring 2008, Kadawatha secures both management and publishing deals. Later that year, Andreas Edström and Jacob Milton join, followed a couple of months afterwards by Andreas Pihlgren and Arvid Persson. From that point, the project functions as a band rather than a solo act, while still being closely identified with Daniel Kadawatha’s songs and perspective.

The group is associated with alternative rock and rock, and its line-up and activity continue from its formation in 2008 to the present.
