Just Her is the solo project of UK DJ and producer Claire Spooner, based in Brighton. Her work spans deep house, electronica, house, melodic house, melodic techno and progressive house.

Background

Spooner develops her career from an early interest in making homemade DJ mix tapes and learning instruments, later studying Creative Music Production and lecturing in Music Technology. She performs, produces and works as a musician, and her technical approach on the decks is a noted part of her profile.

Collaborations and releases

Before and alongside her solo work, Spooner earns recognition for songwriting and engineering with Him_Self_Her, which helps establish her in the underground electronic scene. That project secures releases on labels including Toolroom and Crosstown Rebels, along with numerous Beatport chart positions and an Essential New Tune on Radio 1.

As Just Her, she releases original music on Suara and Save Us Records, and she also provides remixes for Motek, Serkal, Chapter 24 and Click Records.

Radio and label work

She launches her own label, Constant Circles, and presents a bi-weekly radio show on London station Bloop. The Constant Circles Radio Show is available on the station’s website and as an archive on SoundCloud.
