Julien Bracht is a German electronic music producer and live act associated with house, techno, tech house and trance. He starts playing drums at the age of six and begins making music production in his teens, influenced by French electro artists including Daft Punk and Justice. He later studies audio engineering at Frankfurt’s SAE Institute and becomes part of the city’s DJ and club scene.
He performs live at Frankfurt’s Funky People parties and releases his first track, “My Pussy”, featuring Martyné, in 2010. His first EP, Down Under, follows on AMA Recordings and includes a Damian Schwartz remix. The release is played internationally and helps build his profile as his productions gather momentum.
Bracht’s recordings appear on labels including Playhouse, Cecille and Raum…Musik. His work receives support from DJs such as Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Loco Dice, Matthias Tanzmann, Cassy, Arpiar, Reboot, Sascha Dive, Jay Haze, Nick Curly and Tobi Neumann.
In 2011 he develops a live setup based around an acoustic drum installation, combining his drumming background with his own productions. His performances use improvisation on drums and percussion, and each set is different.
