Juicy M

Juicy M is a Ukrainian electro and progressive house DJ and producer from Kyïv, born in 1991. She first becomes known for performance videos on YouTube in which she mixes using four CDJ players without headphones. She also appears in the Top 100 DJs lists from The DJ List poll and the Top Deejays global DJ database.

Early life and training

Her early life is closely tied to music. At the age of five, she starts dance classes, then studies piano at music school. While studying journalism at university, she also works as a news presenter on a music television channel.

DJ career

Juicy M begins her DJ career in 2007 as a resident DJ in Ukrainian nightclubs including Orangerea Supper Club, Patipa and Matrix. The following year, she heads the Fashion TV tour. She takes part in the DMC World Eliminations in Ukraine and the World Technical DJ Championship in Dubai, and in 2010 receives the title of “Best Female DJ of the Year” at the ProDJ Awards in Ukraine.

In 2011 and 2012, she plays her first international dates in Europe and Asia as a hip hop and R&B DJ. She also opens for Black Eyed Peas, Backstreet Boys, Afrojack, Jay Sean, Skrillex and other acts.

Media, modelling and releases

Juicy M also models for magazines including FHM and XXL. In 2013, she shifts towards EDM production and playing larger festival-oriented sets. Her first widely viewed mixing video, featuring four CDJs, reaches more than seven million views. That same year, she releases her first bootleg remix of Major Lazer’s Watch Out for This (Bumaye), which receives support from DJs including Calvin Harris, Laidback Luke and Bob Sinclar.

In June 2013, she starts the weekly podcast JuicyLand, which broadcasts in 11 countries. She also appears on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart in September 2013.

Label and later work

In 2014, Juicy M founds her own label, JUMMP Records. She releases her first single, Samurai, with German producer Ton! Dyson, and the track reaches number 32 on the Beatport chart.
