Josh Flowers is a singer and songwriter whose debut EP, Islands, is followed by growing interest and radio play on BBC Radio 2. His music draws on a raw, emotional and blues-influenced style, with a lyrically driven approach rooted in established songwriting traditions.
Collaborators and live work
He works with cellist and vocalist Squiff Wordsworth, who is a descendant of the poet William Wordsworth. Flowers and Wordsworth perform together and have played in Jersey, with fellow band member Charlie Gradon joining them from Australia for later performances.
Influences
Flowers cites Paul Simon, Neil Young and Bob Dylan as major influences, and these records shape the direction of his songwriting.
