John Talabot is a Spanish electronic music artist from Barcelona, active in deep house, house and tech house. His work is associated with a broad range of influences, including flamenco, northern soul, African music and traditional Asian songs.

Releases and labels

His first commercial release appears on the German label Permanent Vacation and includes the tracks “Afrika”, “Naomi” and “Korlee”. He later issues “Sunshine” on his own label Hivern in June 2009. That track is later reissued on limited blue vinyl with remixes by Delorean and Blondes. Permanent Vacation also releases “Matilda’s Dream”.

In 2011 he releases the four-track EP Families on Young Turks. The title track features Glasser. His first artist album, ƒin, follows in 2012 and includes eleven new tracks, with contributions from Pional and Ekhi.

DJ mix and collaborations

In 2013 he compiles a DJ-Kicks album. It includes two new John Talabot tracks, “Without You” and “Sideral”, and the latter is a collaboration with Axel Boman.
