Joe Banfi

Joe Banfi is a British singer-songwriter from Northwich, Cheshire, and is based in the United Kingdom. His writing is shaped by the contrast between the dense, heavy sound of Deftones’ White Pony and the sparse folk of Nick Drake’s Five Leaves Left, which together inform a style described in the input as having an organic depth and a sense of weight and lift.

Recording and release

Banfi releases music through Communion Records. In April 2012 he puts out Olive Green on Communion: New Faces, a release associated with the label founded by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, Kevin Jones, and producer Ian Grimble. He is also recording an EP with the label.
