Jo Quail is a composer and cellist from the United Kingdom, based in London. She works both as a solo performer and in collaboration with bands, choirs and orchestras, and her music uses looping techniques alongside cello playing to create complex instrumental pieces. Her work sits across contemporary classical, post-metal and post-rock, with an approach that combines classically inflected writing and live electronic layering.

She performs internationally and is associated with the bands SonVer and Rasp.
