Jesse James

Jesse James is a UK ska-punk band from London, England. The group forms in 2000 and remains active until 2007. Its line-up includes Donagh on bass and vocals, Ben on guitar and vocals, Rich on guitar and vocals, Tucker on trombone, Pete on saxophone, Ponyboy on trumpet, and The Ox on drums.

Releases and touring

The band tours the UK, Europe and Canada. Its first release, the Shoes EP, gains attention in the UK after repeated television play of the video for the title track. Later releases include the Hotwired EP, Punk Soul Brothers LP and Mission LP, the latter recorded in San Francisco with producer Ryan Greene, who is known for his work with NOFX. The video for “Dear Jesus”, released in 2005, is banned from UK television. In May 2006, the band releases its album The Assassination of....

Split and side projects

After announcing plans to split in the new year, the members move into side projects. Pete performs vocals in the metalcore/noise band Down I Go, which releases a full-length record on Undergroove Records.
