Jeff Darko is a London-based singer-songwriter working in electro-funk, R&B and afro-soul. He develops a sound shaped by his Ghanaian upbringing, as well as time in France and the UK.
Career
He emerges as a UK-based artist and, after about a year of work, builds a fresh and distinctive style. He also co-writes a single that charts in Belgium, extending his reach into international markets. He appears at several festivals in Europe and continues to develop his profile beyond dance-focused music.
Releases and collaborations
His release “Don’t Worry Me Now” appears as part of his EP Epic Dreams Of A Pedestrian. He works with the production team The Frame Music Group and continues a working relationship with Belgian artist Ian Thomas, whose earlier album work is associated with gold certification through CNR Records and Universal Belgium.
Influences
Darko describes his music as an Afro Soul approach and names Curtis Mayfield, Nat King Cole and Nina Simone among the artists who influence him. His songs draw on personal experience and the journey that informs his writing.
