Jason Young is a house and electronic DJ and producer who plays clubs and festivals in Ireland and internationally. He is associated with the electro and house scene and builds a career as both a performer and a remixer.

Career

He starts releasing music in May 2008 with the debut track Fever. That release is picked up by Pete Tong’s Fast Trax competition and appears on the Bedroom Bedlam label on Three Six Zero. After Fever, Three Six Zero Group asks him to remix Seb Fontaine and Jay P’s Love Bite, which is released on Mono Type.

Young also remixes Tom Novy for the Kosmo label. His rework of Pumping—a version of Novy VS Eniac – Pumping—reaches number 11 in the Beatport chart and holds top 10 positions on digital download charts in several territories.

He is described as an award-winning DJ and receives support for his remixes and tracks from Pete Tong, Robbie Rivera, D.O.N.S, D. Ramirez, Tocadisco, Laidback Luke and Tiesto, among others. In 2009 he is nominated for Best New Artist at the Irish Dance Music Awards and finishes second.

Performances and releases

Young plays at major national and international clubs, with Amnesia named as a personal highlight, and also appears at festivals including Planet Love. In 2010 he signs to Whartone Records and continues to release music and remixes.
