James Ryan

James Ryan is a guitar teacher and clinician associated with lounge, chillout, ambient and instrumental rock, and is also described as a guitar virtuoso. He works from a studio where he divides his time between live performance, writing, recording and producing, as well as practising and maintaining his instrument.

He runs clinics and workshops for Roland/Boss, demonstrating their recording and guitar equipment. His career includes touring North and South America with Australian band Men at Work.

Activity and work

Ryan’s work centres on guitar performance and instruction. Alongside teaching, he is active in live playing, studio-based writing, recording and production.
