Jackie D Williams

Jackie D Williams is a blues artist and singer-songwriter from Stockport and Oxford, born in 1990. He works in a style that brings together soul, funk, rhythm and blues, with guitar playing as a central part of his sound. His music also draws on songwriting shaped by jazz and blues influences.

Performances and early career

By the time he is 20, he already has live experience as a performer. He headlines the Juice FM stage at the Liverpool Hub Festival, described as a major urban and extreme sports youth event, and he also opens the Wallingford Blues and Beer Festival while supporting The Animals. That performance gives him a crowd of more than one thousand people. At 16, he works with producer Mike Hurst through the summer project Rock Masters and performs in front of Cat Stevens.

Education and release

Williams is a student at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. His debut EP, Unite With Me, is released in 2013.
