Ishmael refers to at least three different artists:
1) Ian Smale is a UK based children's worship leader and song writer who uses the name Ishmael. He has also used "Rev Counter and the Speedoze" and a couple of others.
2) Ishmael is a doom/sludge outfit from Plymouth, UK, formed in May 2009.
3) Ishmael is a four-piece band from New York, USA, featuring Jordan Lewis on guitar and vocals, Nick Otte on bass and lead vocals, Aaron Silberstein on percussion and Andy Werle on guitar. The band can be followed from their official site.
