Isaiah Rashad is a rapper from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who is signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. He is associated with hip hop and underground rap.

Early life and beginnings

Rashad is born in 1991 and begins rapping seriously in the tenth grade. After high school, he lives wherever he can record while building his music career. By 2010, he starts making industry connections, and his music begins circulating among A&Rs.

Career

In 2012, Rashad tours on the Smoker's Club Tour with Juicy J, Joey Bada$$, Smoke DZA and others. By December 2012, he draws attention from several record labels, though he shows little interest in most of them.

His first project, Cilvia Demo, is released in January 2014. The EP debuts at number 40 on the US Billboard 200 and sells 8,500 copies in its first week in the United States. In May 2014, he is named in XXL's annual freshman class.

Rashad's debut studio album, The Sun's Tirade, is released in 2016. It receives critical acclaim, debuts at number 17 on the US Billboard 200 and sells 19,000 copies in its first week.
