Isabella
Isabella is a Hong Kong background vocalist associated with techno, industrial, rave, post-hardcore and indie rock. The name also appears in several different acts and projects, including a Cape Girardeau, Missouri post-hardcore and pop-punk band formed by five musicians from south-eastern Missouri; an Oslo duo involving Martin Nobaaady of Toshio; an El Salvador band fronted by Isabella Willsea; and the stage name of Raquel Walker in Abÿfs.
Related acts and projects
The Cape Girardeau band begins writing music and playing shows in January 2008 and later records at Chin Music Studios in Cleveland, Ohio. Its line-up consists of Tim Godlove on vocals, Alex Bettinger on drums, Colt Buehler on bass and vocals, and Jake Tropf and Randy Starnes on guitars. Its release Obstacles appears in 2013.
The Oslo duo releases the five-song EP Isabella in 2008 on Waschiing Machine. The El Salvador band issues Non Basta in 2005 and Sueños in 2011 on NPU.
Other uses of the name
The name also refers to Isabella Garcia-Shapiro from Phineas and Ferb, a pseudonym of Alyson Stoner, and to Isabella Koen, who co-founds Substructure Boston and works as a resident DJ producing off-beat acid and techno with synthesizers.
