Imminence

Imminence is a Swedish metalcore band from Trelleborg Municipality, Sweden, active since 2010. Their sound is described as metalcore, post-hardcore and progressive metalcore. The group includes vocalist Eddie Berg and lead guitarist Harald Barrett, along with rhythm guitarist Alex Arnoldsson, bassist Christian Höijer and drummer Peter Hanström.

Formation and line-up

The band begins in 2009, when Harald Barrett starts the project in Trelleborg and Eddie Berg joins soon afterwards. The name Imminence is chosen in 2010. Alex Arnoldsson and Peter Hanström join in 2012. The band remains centred on Barrett and Berg, with the line-up also including Arnoldsson, Höijer and Hanström.

Recordings and releases

Imminence signs to Arising Empire and releases five studio albums. Their debut EP, Born of Sirius, appears in 2012 and is followed by Return for Helios in 2013. The single Wine & Water is released alongside that EP. Their debut album, I, follows in 2014, with a series of music videos shot by Eddie Berg. Their most recent studio album, The Black, is released in 2024.

Live activity

In 2012, Imminence is selected to play the Metaltown Festival, one of Sweden’s largest music festivals.
