I Spy

I Spy is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Regina, Saskatchewan, active from 1991 to 1996. The group is originally called Clump and later makes Winnipeg its base in 1994. The line-up includes Jimmy Juicepig and Todd Kowalski, who later plays in Propagandhi.

The band is known for fast, raw hardcore punk with melodic elements and strongly political lyrics. Its recordings and live shows are described as forceful and unpolished, while its songs combine direct social commentary with humour. The material is marked by outspoken politics and an earnest, confrontational style.

I Spy is also noted for its name being used by more than one band, but the Canadian hardcore punk group is the Regina-based act associated with the hardcore scene in the 1990s.
