I Am Giant

I Am Giant is a rock band that forms in England in 2008 and is considered a New Zealand act. The group starts with Ed Martin on vocals, Paul Matthews on bass, Shelton Woolright on drums, Max O’Donnell on guitar from 2008 to 2010, and later Aja Timu on guitar from 2010 to 2012.

Matthews and Woolright remain the core of the band, while the line-up changes several times over the years. After Ed Martin leaves to pursue a solo career in December 2014, Ryan Redman becomes lead singer from 2014 to 2015. Aja Timu later rejoins as lead singer and appears with the band at a live show at Camden Assembly in London in October 2016.

The band releases its debut album, The Horrifying Truth, in Australia and New Zealand in 2011, with a later release in the USA and Europe in 2012. Its second album, Science & Survival, follows in 2014. By 2016, the group is working on a third album.
