Hunter Gatherer is an instrumental group from London, Canada. The name has been used by more than one act, including a St. Louis, Missouri post-rock band active from 2008 to 2010 and an Athens, Georgia band sometimes known as the Rock 'n' Roll Beards.

The St. Louis Hunter Gatherer is a mostly instrumental post-rock group whose work includes ambient passages and elements of noise. The band also uses the spelling hntrgthrr, pronounced as “hunter gatherer.”

Athens, Georgia release history

Another Hunter Gatherer acts under the Rock 'n' Roll Beards name and comes from Athens, Georgia. This group releases an album on the now-defunct Scene Police label and on Engineer Records, which is then called Ignition. It also issues a split release with the English post-hardcore and emo band Rydell.
