Hunee

Hunee is the recording name of Hun Choi, a German DJ and producer. Before he begins releasing music, he works behind the counter in a Berlin record shop focused on funk and soul, while also developing his DJ technique. He becomes known for drawing on very deep record collections and for moving fluently across disco, house and techno within a single set.

Style and work

His productions largely reflect an interest in vintage house and techno, although his debut album goes beyond those influences. The record draws on dance music without being limited by a standard club formula, and it presents a restrained but distinct approach that fits his wider interest in music that emphasises freedom rather than fixed structures.
