Howler

Howler is a garage rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The permanent lineup consists of Jordan Gatesmith on vocals and guitar, Max Petrek on bass, Ian Nygaard on guitar, and Rory MacMurdo on drums.

The band signs to Rough Trade Records after building attention through an EP and its live performances. It records its debut album, America Give Up, in summer 2011. The album is released in the UK in January 2012 and the following day in the US.

After a year of touring, Howler plays the NME Generation Next tour and a range of festivals including Reading and Leeds, T in the Park and Latitude. The group returns to the studio in summer 2013 to record a follow-up for Rough Trade. Its second album, World of Joy, is released on Rough Trade Records.
