Honeyslide

Honeyslide is a London-based shoegaze and indie band whose sound combines noise, reverb and dreamy vocals with a melodic edge. The group signs to New Critical Heights and works across shoegaze, alternative, grungegaze and space rock influences.

Line-up

The band comprises a core trio: Josh on guitar, Mo on guitar and vocals, and Meytal on bass and vocals.

Releases

Honeyslide first releases a self-titled debut cassette, the Honeyslide EP. They then follow it with a double A-side 10-inch record containing the lead tracks “Drippin’” and “Deep Architecture”, along with “Sugar Routine” and “Untitled #240”. “Drippin’” is the first song the band ever writes and appears on the later release in remastered form.

Style and development

The group presents itself as a band in motion, with material from the end of 2012 reflecting an early stage in its development and a search for its own sound. The artwork for the later release also reflects that sense of change, using the original Honeyslide EP image as a base and obscuring it with splattered paint.
