HildaMay

HildaMay is a UK rock group from Kent. The band forms in 2008 and splits in May 2014.

Style and activity

The group works across rock, alternative rock, post-hardcore and hardcore punk, with a sound built on heavy guitars and strained, melancholic vocals. Their material develops from rougher edges into a more reflective style, and their later songs focus on change and forward movement rather than regret.

Line-up

The group consists of vocalist Tim Lawrence, bassist Ollie James Jeffs, guitarists Chris Carvell and Sean Keane, and drummer Tom Spencer.

Releases

HildaMay's debut full-length album is Miles Away, released in 2012. They later record the single Drag with Oz Craggs at Hidden Track Studios. Tim Lawrence says the song reflects the band's mental state during a difficult period and is chosen to introduce a new phase of their music.

Recording

Drag is recorded with Oz Craggs, who is also associated with Mallory Knox, Gallows and Feed The Rhino. The song is issued as a free download and is accompanied by a music video.
