Henry's Funeral Shoe

Henry's Funeral Shoe is a rock and blues band formed in 2008 by two brothers from South Wales, UK. The group centres on singer and guitarist Aled Clifford and drummer Brennig Clifford.

Background

Aled Clifford develops his guitar style through records taken from his father's vinyl collection, with early favourites including The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Peter Green, Robert Johnson and The Beatles. He becomes a skilled player with help from Ned Edwards, a long-time collaborator of Van Morrison. Before the band forms, Aled plays with several groups, works on recording sessions for producer Ian Grimble, and records at Abbey Road studios.

Brennig Clifford starts playing drums at nine. At fifteen, he joins a local band and learns through covering songs by The Clash and Thin Lizzy before moving on to original material.

Their debut album, Everything's for Sale, is released on Alive Records and is available exclusively through Bomp Mailorder.
