Heck Tate

Heck Tate are a five-piece band from London, active since 2007. They take influences from 1970s progressive rock, 1980s hardcore, 1990s metal and 2000s pop, combining them into a style described as alt-metal. They are regulars on the London live circuit and also play in provincial towns when booked.

Their live show is noted for its intensity and has been described as “high octane alt-metal”, “pure energy” and as the sort of set that may be cut off after “one more song”. The group also presents itself through a name that refers to a man who “was a good man who did bad things”, while the band says it sees itself as “bad men doing good things”.
