Heartbreak

Heartbreak is a Swedish group that is active from 1974 to the present and was formerly known as Heartbreak Hotel. The name is also used by a separate project involving Ali Renault and Sebastian Muravchix, who combine electro and Italo pop influences.

The Swedish act originates from Eskilstuna and begins as a pop rock band. It first uses the name Heartbreak Hotel, then reforms as Heartbreak in 1979 on a new label after lead guitarist Micke Byström joins the group. Its sound is associated with Italo disco, electronic music, disco, synthpop and electro.
