Hazel O'Connor

Hazel O'Connor is an English singer-songwriter and actress from Coventry, United Kingdom. Born in 1955, she becomes known in 1980 through her role as Kate in the film Breaking Glass, in which she also sings on the soundtrack.

Music career

Her first single, Ee-I-Adio, appears in 1979. She is best known for the singles Eighth Day, which reaches No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart in 1980, and Will You?, which reaches No. 8 the following year; both come from Breaking Glass. She later scores a third UK top ten hit with D-Days from the album Sons and Lovers.

Later work

Her later work includes acoustic performances with harpist Cormac De Barra and the autobiographical stage show Beyond Breaking Glass.
