Handsome Jack is a blues rock group from Lockport, Buffalo, active since 2004. The band plays blues-based hard rock and is associated with blues, Southern rock and blues rock.

Line-up

The group consists of Jamison on lead guitar and vocals, “Joe” on bass and vocals, Rick Richard Rickinfield on guitar and lead piccolo, and Owl on drums and vocals.

Releases

In 2007, Handsome Jack releases its first full CD, Heat Seeker, on Stampede Records.

Style and reception

The band is described as intense and high-energy, with a sound compared to the MC5, Wolfmother and the White Stripes. Its guitar work is noted for a strong tone and a Les Paul through Marshall combination, with an approach likened to an unhinged Jimmy Page.
