HANDSHAKE

HANDSHAKE is a folk band active from 2007 to the present. The name is used by several different acts, but one version is a folk-rock group from London, UK. That line-up includes Beth on vocals, Bob on vocals, guitar, banjo and harmonica, Donnie on accordion, Kerry on bass and bodhran, Maz on drums, and Zoe on fiddle.

Another act using the same name is a North Andover, Massachusetts supergroup formed around members of the local music scene, with Ian Douglas on bass, Mike Moschetto on drums and production, Josh Bolduc on guitar, vocals and production, Mike Wolfenden on vocals, and Chris Phaneuf on guitar. That group issues the limited-release Compliments EP. A third HANDSHAKE is an art rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area, known for covering songs by bands including Radiohead and The Strokes, with members Tyler English, Evan Greenwald, Devin Clary and Jake Kopulsky. A fourth is a Brooklyn-based producer of experimental electronic music whose releases include Impresses Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Hush, My Jew Friend.
