Hammerhead

Hammerhead is a noise-rock band from Fargo, North Dakota. The group forms in the late 1980s or early 1990s and later relocates to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where it works with Amphetamine Reptile Records.

Line-up

The band consists of Paul Sanders on guitar and vocals, Paul Erickson on bass and vocals, and Jeff Morridian Jr on drums.

Career and recordings

Between 1992 and 1996, Hammerhead releases four full-length albums, along with several singles and compilation appearances. The group helps shape the Minneapolis/Amphetamine Reptile sound associated with early 1990s noise rock. It breaks up in 1996 after Paul Sanders leaves the band.

Related projects

After Hammerhead ends, Paul Erickson and Jeff Morridian Jr form Vaz, with Erickson on vocals, guitar and bass and Morridian on drums and vocals. Paul Sanders later plays with The Heroine Sheiks.
